Maxim Ropes:

New England Ropes was founded in 1967 and began producing their now famous Maxim Ropes in 1980. With a motto of “together in motion,” it is no surprise that their Maxim dynamic ropes have become a premier option in the world climbing. They provide a range of dynamic, static, and accessory cords. Their ropes are constructed to be durable, well designed, and most of all, safe.

Technology:

Endura Dry

  • What it is:
    • The core fibers are coated with a water blocking coating and wrapped in a protective cover surrounds the core to
    • The fibers are coated with a protectant, allowing for a reduction in friction on the fibers themselves.
  • What it does:
    • Repels water to keep the rope dry and protects the rope against damage from friction and abrasion

 

Endura Dry 2X

  • What is it:
    • The same process as the Endura Dry but treated twice, the most water repellent Maxim rope
  • What it does:
    • Adds an extra layer of protection from water and abrasion damage

 

BiPattern

  • What it is:
    • A stitch in weave pattern at the center of the rope
  • What it does:
    • Allows you to find the midpoint of the rope easily without compromising strength

 

TPT Sheath

  • What it is:
    • A unique 1-over-1 pattern that produces a cover sheath with a smaller cross-sectional profile than plain pattern sheaths
  • What it does:
    • Ensures improved abrasion resistance and reduces drag through belay and rappel devices allowing the rope to last longer
