Endura Dry - A special treatment offered on some MAXIM ropes, by which the core of the rope receives a dry treatment, then a protective cover to improve water repellency. The treatment on the core yarns also reduces fiber-to-fiber friction, improving the strength of therope. Endura Dry ropes are particularly well-suited for rock climbing use where the dry treatment helps keep the rope useable in the case of an unexpected rainfall.
Endura Dry 2X - A special treatment that goes one step beyond Endura Dry. Like Endura Dry ropes, the core of the rope receives a dry-treatment, then a protective cover, to improve water repellency. The treatment on the core yarns also reduces fiber-to-fiber friction, improving the strength of the rope. But Endura Dry 2X ropes then get a second treatment, yielding the highest level of water-resistance. These ropes are particularly well-suited for ice and alpine use, but in warm weather rock conditions the treatment also contributes to the durability of the rope.

About Maxim Ropes

BiPattern - The Bi-Pattern rope line from MAXIM features an obvious change of sheath weave pattern at the midpoint to help quickly find the middle of the rope. The Bi-Pattern sheath weave change is made by changing bobbin position during weaving (not by splicing), so all core and sheath yarns are continuous throughout the entire rope, ensuring the highest strength and integrity.
TPT Sheath - Twill Pattern Technology (TPT) is a proprietary sheath weave/density technology offered on certain MAXIM ropes. TPT sheath ropes have outstanding abrasion resistance and a noticeable reduction in rope drag through belay and rappel devices. Ropes featuring TPT are particularly well-suited for any high-volume use, such as sport cragging or frequent top-roping. TPT is offered on the Glider and Gym-Bo ropes. |
